The museum is closed until further notice due to the Corona virus (Covid-19). All our programs through May 31 are canceled.

Discover the history of our city for 500 years in The Stockholm Exhibition on three floors.


Tickets to our public tours, guided tours and seminars are only sold in advance; at the City Museum shop, at the Medieval Museum or online. Tickets avalable via link on the program’s webpage, see the Kalendarium.

Ulla Winblad: Pre-booked visits only

To visit the exhibition, you need to pre-book a slot ticket. The ticket is free. The number is limited. Tickets will be released on April 14.

Pre-booked tours

You are always welcome to book a private guided tour in English. Available tours in English includes the historic Stockholm and the Old town, ABBA City WalkThe World Heritage Woodland Cemetery and visits toThe City Museums four historically restored apartments. Please contact the booking service for more information.

The Stockholm City Museum is open to visitors but our historic apartments are temporarily closed due to Covid-19.

All bookings are binding and cancellations can be made 7 days before the designated tour date. If the cancellation is made less than 7 days prior to the date of the tour the cost of the tour will be charged to the visiting party.
