The museum is temporarily closed due to the Corona situation (Covid-19). All indoor programs are canceled November 1–December 31. Our outdoor city walks are canceled from November 20–December 31.

The City Museum is situated in a 17th century palace next to Slussen in central Stockholm.

Stockholm City Museum is next to Slussen Metro Station: use the north exit onto Södermalmstorg.

There are stairs and a lift down onto the courtyard and the City Museum’s main entrance on the ground floor. The easiest ways to get to the museum are on foot or bicycle or on the Metro or bus.

Public transport

Metro to Slussen, Södermalmstorg exit. Buses 2, 3, 53, 55, 57 and 76 to Södermalmstorg.

Mobility service

For those arriving by mobility service, the address is Peter Myndes backe 2. The entry lift is located on the Ryssgården.

Parking

Parking opportunities in the vicinity of the museum are extremely limited.
